In the last 24 hours till 8:00 am on Thursday, three people have died from dengue, and at least 1,022 others have been hospitalised, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Among the deceased, two were from Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) areas, while one was from Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas.
With these latest figures, the total death toll from dengue this year has risen to 177, and the total number of reported cases now stands at 34,121, of which 19,338 are from outside Dhaka.
Currently, 3,551 dengue patients are receiving treatment at various hospitals, including 1,759 from outside Dhaka. So far this year, 30,393 patients have been discharged after treatment across the country.
