Delwar Hossain Dilu, an agricultural entrepreneur of Panchgao village of Bansoil Union of Tangail’s Mirzapur upazila, has succeeded in cultivating Chinese oranges. Thousands of nature lovers and foodie visitors throng every day to see the orange hanging in the gaps between the green leaves. These oranges end up being sold to visitors as they are delicious.

Dilu is now known as an agricultural entrepreneur in the area. Oranges are being sold to visiting tourists as oranges are delicious. Delwar said that he got success in fruit garden in 2018. His journey begins through a guava plantation. The next year, Dilu planted a mixed garden on a small scale of one acre. After three years he started selling various fruits from his garden. He never looked back. After completing his studies, he did not look for a job, but on his own initiative, he created a mixed garden called Dilu Agro Farm on his own six and a half acres of land. The fruit sold from the garden last year, including oranges and various other fruits, he sold more than two and a half lakh rupees. This year, this entrepreneur expects to sell more than 4 lakh rupees by selling oranges from 140 trees. In the last few days, he has sold oranges worth three lakh rupees only to visitors to the garden. Many local youths have also been created through this garden. Many are inspired by the garden. Upazila Agriculture Department Delwar Hossain Dilu said that they are providing full support.
In this regard, Mirzapur Upazila Agriculture Officer Mahmuda Khatun said that 250 hectares of land have been cultivated in this district. In the future, if new farmers can be encouraged to grow oranges and oranges, besides meeting the needs of the district, it will be possible to export commercially to foreign countries as well. Studying is not just a job but success as an entrepreneur is now at hand. This official said that all kinds of cooperation have been given from the agriculture office for orange plantation.
