Delta Life Insurance Company Limited has been organizing a colorful annual womenconference since 2017 to honor the outstanding contributions of its women marketing representatives in the microinsurance sector.

Continuing this tradition, the 6th “Women’s Conference 2025” of Delta Life Insurance Company Limited was held on Sunday at the Institute of Diploma EngineersBangladesh (IDEB).The conference was graced by Adeeba Rahman, ACII (UK), Member of the Board of Directors and Chairperson of the Executive Committee, as the Chief Guest, while Uttam Kumar Sadhu, FCMA, FCS, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Delta Life, presided over the event.

Delta Life Insurance Company Limited was the first to introduce a microinsurance program aimed at ensuring the financial security of the lower-income and underprivileged population. Since 1988, it has been successfully marketing its microinsurance products named Gono-Grameen Bima under the leadership of Anwarul Haque, Deputy Managing Director of the company. From its inception, Gono-Grameen Bima has actively involved rural women in microinsurance marketing. Currently, 72.49% of the total insurance agents under this program are women.

Women agents are also leading in terms of total premium income, contributing about 70% of the total collected premiums. In addition, women working in individual insurance sectors continue to play a significant role in expanding the company’s business.
In her speech, the Chief Guest stated:
“Delta Life will continue to play a pioneering role in empowering women and will keep recognizing their invaluable contributions. We believe that through the indomitable efforts of our women employees, our business progress will become even brighter and more prosperous.”

Around 400 successful women representatives participated in the conferenceacross Bangladesh. In recognition of their outstanding business performance, 15 women employees were awarded medals and certificates. During the “Apon Bhubon” (Our World) segment of success stories, songs, and conversations, the women shared inspiring tales from their lives. The Women’s Conference 2025 concluded with a vibrant cultural program, marking a joyful celebration of women’s achievements and empowerment.
