A person named Tanvir Ahmed posted on social media Facebook against Hushamuddin Chowdhury.
Shahid Ullah, the leader of Ward No. 30 of the city, requested a ban on defamation and slander. But the opposite happened. On the contrary, obscene and indecent defamatory posts started against Shahid Ullah. The Cyber Tribunal filed a case in the Sylhet Court on July 23 as the plaintiff in this incident. Case No. 115/2025.
The plaintiff in the case, Shahid Ullah, was Facebook friends with Tanvir Ahmed (26) of Khidirpur village, Lakeshwar Bazar, Chhatak police station, Sunamganj. His home and Bahadurpur village of Doara Bazar police station in Sunamganj, he is currently the general secretary of Ward No. 30 of the city’s Al Islah.
Shahid Ullah mentioned in the case statement that on May 13, 15 and 20, defendant Tanvir Ahmed posted obscene language mentioning the name of Al Islah’s central president Hushamuddin Chowdhury in the Anjuman, along with his picture. This created intense tension among Al Islah’s leaders and activists. At one point, the plaintiff himself requested Tanvir not to post the objectionable post, but he got angry and threatened Shahid Ullah. Tanvir even posted a picture of Shahid Ullah on June 20. The matter has damaged Shahid Ullah’s dignity, as well as being an attack on his religion and beliefs.
This has created religious hatred and social chaos.
In this regard, defendant Tanvir said, Sheikh Hasina, who has stained the blood of hundreds of scholars and ulama, is now a fugitive. Hushamuddin Chowdhury was a beneficiary of the notorious fascist Sheikh Hasina. Claiming to be a Haqqani Alim is a religious insult. But how can a Haqqani Alim be an associate of a state murderer? Hushamuddin Chowdhury hijacked the people’s votes in the last dummy election and proved his bankruptcy by becoming an MP and making a speech about fulfilling the dream of duty-free cars. That is why he is an enemy of the patriotic people. His alleged followers are misguided and against the July Revolution. Our resistance and protest against this cycle will continue.
