Death of Fairuz Teacher Din Islam denied bail

A Comilla on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of Jagannath University teacher Din Islam, who was relieved from the post of assistant proctor by the university, in a case over the death of law department student Fairuz Abontika.

Din Islam’s lawyers appealed for bail on Wednesday, reports media.
Comilla Senior Judicial Magistrate M Abu Bakar Siddique rejected the application.

The plaintiff’s lawyer Advocate Syed Nurur Rahman confirmed the matter.

On Tuesday, a Comilla court sent Din Islam to jail after the completion of his one-day remand.

On Monday, the court placed Jagannath University’s suspended student Raihan Siddique Amman and teacher Din Islam on a two and one-day remand, respectively, in the case.
