More than five hundred students along with teachers, officers and other employees, Dhaka Commerce College (DCC), arranged a day long river cruise to the estuary of Chandpur by the launch Sundarban-16 on Friday.
Releasing pigeons and balloons, Md. Shamsul Huda, one of the members of the governing body of the college and the Chairman of BUBT Trust, inaugurated the study tour-2024 early in the morning. Later on, taking breakfast, teachers attracted the attention of students to the present conditions of the river Buriganga and other ones while they were all at rest beside the railings of the launch.
After Jumma prayer, students took their lunch that was followed by an enjoyable cultural programme performed by folk singer Kuddus Boyati along with the cadence of his songs.
In the noon, the chief guest distributed prizes of the last episode of the program was raffle draw that offered lucrative gifts including several plane tickets, pressure-cookers and other among the winners while Ahmed Hossain, governing body member, Professor Dr. Md. Abu Masud, Principal, Professor Md. Wali Ullah, Vice Principal, Professor Md. Shafiqul Islam, former principal, senior professors, other faculty members, officers and employees of the college, among others were present.
