The newly joined Deputy Commissioner (DC) of BarishalMohammad Delwar Hossain visited the family of Abdullah Al-Abir, martyred in the student movementat Dhaka.
On Wednesday (September 18) at noon, the Deputy Commissioner went to the house named ‘Mahmudaloy’ on Gorachand Das Road in the city, the residence of maternal uncle and met Mizanur Rahman, father of Shaheed Abir there.
From boyhood Abir was brought up hereand their ancestral home in is in Chinnarkathi village under Babuganj upazila of Barishal.
At that time, the Deputy Commissioner became emotional after hearing the death of Abir.
Besides, he inquired about Abir’s family and handed over a fruit basket to Abir’s father along with financial support. The Deputy Commissioner expressed his determination to stand by the family of Shaheed Abir at all times.
Abir grew up here and studied at the private North South University of Dhaka.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mandeep Gharai, Assistant Commissioner Abu Zafar Majumdar and others accompanied the DC.
