The severe cyclonic storm Remal has significantly weakened, transforming into a deep land depression as it traveled northward. Initially making landfall in Khulna’s Koyra, the storm began to lose strength, downgrading first to a cyclonic storm and then further diminishing over Jashore and its surrounding areas.
According to a special bulletin released by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department at around 10:30 am on Monday, meteorologists anticipate that Remal will continue its northeast trajectory.
It is expected to gradually weaken further, turning into a land depression through continued precipitation.
