Curtain of Nat’l HR Summit falls

The second edition of the National HR Summit organized by Daffodil International University under the theme “Transforming Bangladesh using AI” concluded successfully.
The New Nation was the media partner.

HR professionals and experts from top local organizations of the country participated in this summit held at Daffodil Smart City in Birulia, Dhaka.
The event started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, reading of the Gita, and the performance of the National Anthem. A minute’s silence was also observed in memory of the martyrs who won the freedom of new Bangladesh.

Joint Secretary of the Directorate of Youth Development and Director (Planning) of the Ministry of Youth and Sports MA Akher were present as the chief guests of the summit.

In his speech, he encouraged the students for self-employment and highlighted the various training and facilities of the Ministry for the youth to become self-reliant. He also highlighted the importance of artificial intelligence and urged the students to utilize it. In addition, the current head of government Nobel laureate Dr. He expressed hope that the country will move forward under the leadership of Muhammad Yunus.

RTN Mohammad Mashekur Rahman Khan, PHF, President, Bangladesh Society for Human Resource Management (BSHRM), Dr. were present as special guests. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Group CEO, Daffodil Family and Advisor, Career Development Center (CDC), Saif Hussain, Business Development Manager (South Region), AH Jet Associates and Dr. Hamidul Haque Khan, Treasurer, Daffodil International University.
More than fifty HR professionals and professionals from the country participated in five different workshops during the day-long workshop organized by the National HR Summit. In the workshops, the students gained extensive experience by participating in direct exchange and question-and-answer sessions with the top officials of the industrial establishments.

The excitement of this experience can be seen on the faces of the students.
The convener of the program and the director of career development center of Daffodil International University Dr. Tanveer Abir said, “Our aim is to prepare the students properly for the future job market. As the future world will be based on AI, the theme of this summit is based on AI. I hope the students learn a lot through it.”
Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. SM Mahbub ul Haque Majumder’s closing speech heralded the successful conclusion of the second edition of the National HR Summit.
