Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam has resigned. On Wednesday (August 14), the Vice-Chancellor submitted his resignation to the President. University registrar Sheikh Mohammad Humayun Kabir confirmed the resignation.
He said that the Vice-Chancellor has submitted a resignation request to the President through the Secretary of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education. He has given personal reasons in his resignation letter. Earlier on Tuesday (August 13) at 11 o’clock, general students submitted 3-point demands to the Deputy Director of the University’s Student Welfare Department , Professor Md.Saiful Islam. They demanded the resignation of the Vice-Chancellor, pro- Vice-Chancellor, Director of Student Welfare and Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Technology.
