CUB concludes Intra-University Cricket Tournament 2025

The Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) proudly concluded its highly anticipated Intra-University Cricket Tournament 2025 at the CUB permanent campus on February 2nd. The tournament brought together competitive teams from various departments, each showcasing exceptional cricketing skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the event.

The grand finale was a thrilling contest between the CUB Blackouts and the CUB All Stars. In a nail-biting finish, the CUB Blackouts emerged as champions, clinching the title in an intense match that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.

Individual accolades were also a highlight of the tournament. Shafin Ahmed received multiple honors, being named Best Player and Player of the Tournament, while also earning the Best Bowler award. Additionally, Yeasin Shahrear was recognized as the Best Batsman for his outstanding performance on the field.

The Champions Cup and Trophy were awarded in a prestigious ceremony attended by notable university figures, including Chowdhury Jafarullah Sharafat, Vice Chairman of CUB; Javed Hosein, Executive Chairman of CUB; Prof. Dr. H M Jahirul Haque, Vice Chancellor; and Professor Dr. Gias U Ahsan, PhD, Pro Vice-Chancellor of CUB. Organised by the CUB Sports Club, the tournament received tremendous support from faculty members, students, and university officials, reflecting the institution’s commitment to promoting sports and fostering a vibrant campus culture.
