Due to the series killing in educational institutions, Chittagong University teachers feared of safety, expressing concern that the assailants may attack on the teachers of Chittagong University.
The teachers formed a human chain in front of Saheed Minar around 12 pm yesterday, demanding the immediate round up the killer of Rajsahi University English department Prof Dr Razaul Karim Siddiqui and ensure the safety of the teachers.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury said, Rajsahi University teacher was murdered and following this incident, the teachers of CU feared of being attacked.
CUTA President Prof Dr Abul Mansur drawing attention to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, you put the killers of Bangabandhu on trial, ensure the execution of the war criminal, now ensure the safety of teachers by punishing the killers of the teachers.
CUTA General Secretary S M Khasrul Alam Quddusi conducted the programme.
