Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman has been posted as Director of Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority. Recently, this information was revealed in a notification signed by Deputy Secretary Abdullah Arif Mohammad of Public Administration Ministry. Besides along with Dr. Fakhruzzaman, 24 more Deputy Commissioners have been removed.
Last Saturday (August 17) at noon, a law and order meeting was held in Chattagram Circuit House in the presence of Farooq-e Azam, Advisor to the Liberation War Ministry. The local coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement demanded the immediate ‘removal’ of the Chattagram District Commissioner from the advisor.
Deputy Commissioner AbulBasar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman joined as Chattagram District Commissioner on December 7, 2022. His house is in Chandpur district. He is a former student of Chattagram University. Prior to this, he served as Deputy Secretary, ‘Recruitment-Promotion and Posting Division’, Ministry of Public Administration.
