Three crude bombs were detonated outside the BNP central office in Dhaka’s Naya Paltan on Saturday night. No injuries were reported.
The first explosion occurred around 10:00 pm, followed by two more around 10:45 pm. Jasim, president of the Chhatra Dal unit at Suhrawardi College, was present at the scene and narrowly avoided injury.
Witnesses said several unidentified individuals on motorcycles threw the explosives while speeding past the office and then fled toward the Nightingale intersection.
Abdus Sattar Patwari, a BNP executive committee member stationed at the central office, condemned the incident, calling it a “planned terrorist attack” aimed at spreading fear and political unrest. He urged supporters to stay vigilant.
