A protest meeting was held yesterday organised by Chittagong Reporters’ Unity at the CRU office in protesting countrywide attacks on minorities.
President of Chittagong Reporters Unity Kiron Sarma Presided over the meeting. Columnist Prof. Masum Chowdhury was present in the meeting as Chief Guest. M.A Hasem Raju, President of Bangladesh Krira Unnayn Parishad, Chittagong District Committee was present as chief speaker.
Organizing Secretary of Dubai Bangabandu Parisad S.A Munir and President of Lions Club of Chittagong lion saiful Islam Mazumder were present as special guest. Prof. Masum chy said that miscreants attacked minorities after the national elections held on January 5. The attackers have no identity, they are miscreants. They try to destroy communal harmony that prevailing in our country for a long time.
The speakers urged the government to take step on attackers and action against the miscreants responsible for the attacks on the minorities.
Among others spoke on the protest meeting general secretary Didar asrafi, Finance Secretary Nazrul Islam, Organizing Secretary Aminul Hoque Shahin, Woman affairs Secretary Nasrin sultana,jannatul Naim riku, Alamgir Noor, Golam Sarwar, H.M Kawsar, Rimon Muhuri and Mohiuddin Ahmed.
