A Dhaka court has ordered a forensic test of the passport, phones, MacBook, and laptop seized from model Meghna Alam in a fraud and extortion case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate MA Azharul Islam passed the order after the accused appeared before the court and sought the return of her confiscated belongings.
The order came after Meghna, Miss Earth Bangladesh 2020, sought the return of her belongings.
The court directed the investigation officer to submit the forensic report by August 31 and asked authorities to explain why the items should not be returned.
Meghna was arrested in April over allegations of defrauding a foreign diplomat and was later released on bail.
