Couple stabbed throat in Kishoreganj

A couple was rescued with their throats cut in Kishoreganj on Thursday morning. The locals and family members rescued them and sent them to Kishoreganj general hospital.
The incident took place in South Bharati village under Boulai Union in Kishoreganj sadar on Thursday morning.
That couple is Md Mostakim (26) and his wife Sonia (19).
The kishoreganj Model Police Station OC (Investigation) Tariqul Islam confirmed the matter.
OC (Investigation) also said, the couple hit each other’s neck with a knife while quarreling in their house. The people of the house came forward with their screams. He opened the door and went inside to see them lying in a bloody state. The injured couple was taken to Kishoreganj General Hospital for first treatment after rescue. Later the doctor advised to take him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH).
Knife has been recovered as evidence. The initial investigation found that the husband and wife stabbed each other in the throat after a fight. Further legal action will be taken in this regard.’
Dr. Sajjad Hossain of Kishoreganj General Hospital, said, ‘Two of them got deep wounds in their necks due to sharp weapons. They have been referred to Mymensingh as their condition is serious.’
