UNB, Jessore :
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized a huge quantity of Indian contraband cotton and 570 bottles of Phensidyl syrup worth Tk3.83 crore from Navaran Bazar in Benapole town on Friday morning.
BGB sources said a BGB patrol team halted a Dhaka-bound truck (Dhaka Metro-Ta 16-5304) at Navaran Bazar in the morning and recovered the cotton and Phensidyl from the truck.
However, the driver of the truck and his helper fled the scene leaving behind the vehicle.
A case was filed in this connection.
