A special alert has been imposed at Mongla Port due to the increase in the infection of the coronavirus. Various health testing equipment has been installed at the main gate of the port jetty since Friday
morning. Wearing masks has also been made mandatory.
The port authority said that the body temperature of sailors of foreign commercial ships and workers working at the port is being measured through thermal scanners. Special measures have been taken to
prevent corona, so that the infection of the virus can be prevented.
Deputy Director (Board and Public Relations Department) of Mongla Port Authority Md. Makruzzaman said that due to the recent increase in the infection of the coronavirus, special precautionary measures have been taken at Mongla Port. The use of hand sanitizer, temperature check and
use of masks have been made mandatory at the port jetty.
He also said that the office is opening on June 15, in which case everyone has been instructed to comply with the corona restrictions.
In addition, an alert has been issued from the port hospital. If anyone shows any symptoms of corona, they have been asked to contract
two special numbers of the hospital. The numbers of the said hospitals are — 01912385775 and 01793439587 respectively.
