A police constable was killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Sadar upazila on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Kafil Uddin, 45, son of Ajgor Ali Fakir, a resident of Sajjonkanda village in Rajbari sadar upazila, and a gunman of former Deputy Speaker Sawkat Ali.
Aminur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar police station said the accident occurred in Vatbaur area when a truck hit the motorcycle Kafil was ridding on way to Dhaka, leaving him dead on the spot.
