A couple of years ago, small screen actor Shamim Hasan Sarkar became controversial after misbehaving with a production boy.
This time, TV actress Priyanka Priya has accused the actor of using abusive language and threatening to rape her.
While defending himself in the wake of the allegations, Shamim Hasan made some untrue statements about himself that have landed him in controversy.
Actress Priyanka’s complaint, last Monday, Shamim Hasan Sarkar misbehaved with her during the shooting of a drama directed by Shahid Un Nabi at the Dolanchapa Shooting House.
Shamim abused her in foul language in front of everyone in the unit because she made a dialogue mistake.
In an interview with a TV channel, Priyanka described the incident and said, “During the shooting, Shamim Hasan Sarkar started abusing me in foul language when I mispronounced a dialogue.
He used all the bad types of abuse that can be used. What is called a public rape threat. I could have protested, but the way he was shouting those words, he might have raised his hand against me.
That’s why I stayed silent there. When I came to give the shot two hours later, he started talking nonsense again. But no one in the unit protested.”
Priyanka alleged that Shamim misbehaved with many people on the shooting set.
She also alleged that the actor was intoxicated on the shooting set. When Priyanka’s interview went viral on social media, Shamim Hasan Sarkar spoke to the media about the allegations.
Although Shamim denied the threat of rape, he did report abuse. The question has been raised as to whether an actor can say the kind of nonsense that Shamim has said.
Shamim said, “This actress was busy with Tiktok and Reels, not acting, but on the shooting set.
She was unable to deliver dialogues during the shooting. Her mind was on the TikTok. When she started saying things wrong, the director scolded her.
Then I also scolded her. I told her, ‘I don’t want to see her face. I don’t even want to fu…you. I’m ready to say sorry to the girl for the bad behaviour.
I told the director to report the matter to Actors’ Equity and resolve it. In the meantime, she went to the TV channel and made a statement. She is trying to boost her reputation by defaming me.”
Shamim said, calling the allegations false, “No one can say what she said in front of so many people. I’m not a man who rapes. I’m always against rapists. I didn’t sexually harass her in any way.
Besides, the girl says that I raised my hand on her. No such incident happened. If anyone can prove it, I will leave the media.”
Shamim Hasan said that he used to do drugs, although he falsely claimed that he was addicted. However, the actor claims that he has not been exposed to any kind of addiction since he got married a few months ago.
He is considering taking legal action for defamation due to Priyanka’s allegations. But before that, Shamim wants to discuss with his family and the Actors’ Equity.
He believes that someone is supporting Priyanka from behind the whole incident. While talking about Priyanka’s allegations, Shamim also talked about his own personal issues.
