“Reacts in Project” conducted training for zinc rice seed sellers organized by RDRS Bangladesh and ESDO in collaboration with Harvest Plus. The training was held at the main office of Thakurgaon of Rangpur Division yesterday at 10 am.
The team leader (Agriculture and Climate Change) of Rangpur RDRS presided over the skill development training for zinc rice seed sellers. AKM SalehUddin, Thakurgaon Agriculture Extension Directorate, Deputy Director, Md. Sirajul Islam, was present as a resource person. Other trainers were present ESDW Assistant Project Coordinator Agronomist MdAshrafulAlam, RDRS Technical Officer-Agriculture, Agronomist Md; Shaheenur Islam, project coordinator of ESO Md. Kamrul Islam.
Resource Person, Md. Sirajul Islam discussed in the training the marketing of zinc-rich rice and to encourage the farmers to grow zinc-rich rice to fill the zinc deficiency, the importance of zinc in the human body, the yield of zinc rice, the benefits, and the things to be done to fill the zinc deficiency were discussed and suggestions were given.
