The PASCH Department of Goethe-Institut Bangladesh successfully hosted an unforgettable evening of music and cultural exchange at Aloki Dhaka.
Titled ‘Rhythm of Fusion’, the concert featured an extraordinary collaboration between Taiga Trece, a German-Mexican rapper celebrated for her global musical style, and a talented group of Bangladeshi musicians, said a press release.
Held on recently from 7:00pm to 8:00pm, the event captivated a diverse audience with its innovative blend of freestyle rap and traditional Bangladeshi instrumental music.
Taiga Trece, known for her powerful lyrics and multicultural soundscapes, mesmerised attendees with her unique ability to merge genres seamlessly.
Before the concert began, Frank Werner, Director of the Goethe-Institut Bangladesh, delivered a heartfelt welcome speech, warmly greeting Taiga Trece, all the talented local musicians, and the distinguished audience.
The local musicians, Abir Ibne Masud on guitar, Krishan Lal on tabla and drums, Toisifor Rahman on keyboard, Amit Hasan Rudra on bass, and DJ Rishova, brought a vibrant energy to the stage.
Their masterful interplay of traditional and contemporary sounds created an atmosphere that was both dynamic and deeply engaging.
Taiga Trece, born in Germany and raised in Mexico, showcased her signature fusion of hip-hop, world music, and electronic beats. Her collaboration with Bangladeshi musicians highlighted the universal language of music and its power to bridge cultural divides.
The event underscored Goethe-Institut Bangladesh’s commitment to fostering cultural exchange and artistic innovation.
