Committee formed over office allocation to MPs

A four-member sub-committee has been constituted for allocating offices to the Members of Parliament (MPs) at the NAM Bhabans located on Manik Mia Avenue and Nakhalpara and MP Hostel at Sher-E-Bangla Nagar in the city.
The committee was formed on Thursday at the first meeting of the House Committee of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) at the JS Bhaban in the city with its Chairman Md Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury in the chair, said an official press release. Other members of the sub-committee are Whip Iqbalur Rahim, Kazi Firoz Rashid and Fazle Hossain Badsha.
The committee suggested enhancing the overall security of the MPs by setting up closed-circuit television (CCTV) at all buildings and restricting staying of anyone at the NAM flat without MPs.
The body also recommended giving intercom and telephone connection lines to the all buildings, serving only tea and coffee at JS lobby and improving the quality of food and overall environment of the cafeteria in the Parliament house.
The committee members AB Tajul Islam, Whip Iqbalur Rahim, Fazle Hossain Badsha, Kazi Firoz Rashid, Whip Mahabub Ara Begum Gini, Nur Mohammad, Manjur Hossain, Asheq Ullah joined the meeting while whips Shamsul Hoque Chowdhury and Abu Sayeed Al Mahmood Swapon attended it.
