Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Sunday predicted that the ongoing mild cold wave may abate at some places in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am today.
“Mild cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur division and the districts of Naogaon and Moulavibazar and it may abate from some places,” said a met office release here today.
Moderate to thick fog may occur at some places over the river basins and light to moderate fog may occur at some places elsewhere over the country from late night to tomorrow morning, it added.
Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. However, night and day temperature may rise slightly over the country.
Country’s maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 29.6 degrees Celsius at Teknaf, while the minimum temperature today was 8.0 degrees Celsius jointly at Srimangal and Tetulia.
The sun sets at 5.37 pm on Sunday and rises at 6.42 am today in the capital.
