‘Obak Bhalobasha’ was last released by Coke Studio on May 25, 2024. At that time, the third season of Coke Studio was on. After that, no new songs were released from that season.
After the success of two consecutive seasons, the third season of Coke Studio Bangla started last year. At that time, it was announced that 11 songs of the third season would be released.
But their activities were stopped after the release of three songs. It is said that the reason behind the closure of Coke Studio Bangla’s activities was an advertisement controversy.
After a Coca-Cola advertisement was aired before Eid-ul-Azha last year, it was widely criticized. In the context of the ongoing boycott movement in protest of the Israeli attack on Gaza, the advertisement received strong reactions online and offline.
Even the creators of the advertisement and the participating artists faced criticism. Then the activities of Coke Studio Bangla also stopped. However, recently, there has been a new rumor that Coke Studio Bangla is returning.
Finally, that rumor is going to come true. Last Wednesday, musician Shayan Chowdhury Arnab posted on social media.
