Due to the global economic recession, the country’s economy has been in trouble for several years. The ongoing political unrest, loss of life, conflicts etc. for about 3 weeks are putting the country’s economy under more pressure. Chattagram Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CMCCI) and that if the ongoing crisis is not resolved immediately, the country’s economy will fall into a deeper crisis. The business community of the country is worried about the security system of the country’s industrial factories on a limited scale. For this purpose, CMCCI requested for adequate and necessary safety measures, otherwise it will not be possible to pay the salaries of the industrial workers.
It is feared that if effective measures are not taken immediately to improve such situation, it may have a serious negative impact on the country’s business, trade and overall investment, including foreign investment, and may hinder the creation of new jobs. It is necessary to bring back normal operations of Chattagram port and customs for the sake of national economy. Due to the slow speed of the customs server, the supply of raw materials and daily necessities of export-oriented industries is disrupting the overall product supply system. Which can have an impact on the life of the people of the country and the import and export activities?
Young people are the future of the country and we believe that a healthy, beautiful, economically prosperous and democratic Bangladesh will be developed by the hands of young leadership. It is hoped that the newly formed learned advisory council to fulfill the aspirations of the students will prevent bribery, corruption; extortion at all levels and reduce the price inflation and commodity prices in the country along with the establishment of good governance in the country.
CMCCI is also keen to work as a partner with the interim government to restore a business-friendly environment, normal flow of imports and exports, building a modern and prosperous Bangladesh, which we believe will play an important role in the country’s economy.
