“Club Fest-2025” was held with great enthusiasm at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). The 2-day (July 1-2, 2025) Club Fest organized by the Student Welfare Department of BUET was held at the central cafeteria premises of the university. The Club Fest, open to the public, runs from 10 am to 5 pm every day.
The festival was inaugurated by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of BUET, Professor Dr. Abu Borhan Md. Badruzzaman. Honorable Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Hasib Chowdhury and Director of the Student Welfare Department, Professor Dr. A. K. M. Masud were present at the event.
On the inaugural day, the Vice-Chancellor visited each stall of the 33 participating clubs and exchanged views with the club representatives. He said, “BUET students are not only showing their skills in academics but also in co-curricular activities. Such events play a helpful role in developing their leadership, creativity and human qualities.”
At the Club Fest, each club presents an exhibition of their academic, social, technical and cultural activities. Students are encouraged to participate in club activities through drawing, fun games, awareness events and recruitment of new members.
The students’ walk, the enthusiasm of the club members and the interest of the visitors make this event lively. The organizers said that BUET’s co-curricular activities are becoming more expanded and constructive through the organization of the Club Fest every year.
