Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed will address the lower court judges on Saturday.
“He (CJ) will present a roadmap for the judiciary in his speech,” Appellate Division Spokesperson Md Shafikul Islam told BSS.
Earlier, a notification said the event would be held at the inner garden of the main building of the Supreme Court at 10 am on Saturday.
Legal adviser Dr Asif Nazrul, judges of both the divisions of the Supreme Court, judiciary reform commission chairman Justice Shah Abu Nayeem Mominur Rahman, Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman, president and secretary of Supreme Court Bar Association are likely to be present on the occasion, sources said.
All the judicial officials have been asked to enter the venue showing their service or official ID cards from 8am and the gate will close at 9.30am.
They have been asked to abstain from conducting any election campaign at the event.
Earlier, Syed Refaat Ahmed was appointed as the chief justice of Bangladesh by the President of Bangladesh on 10 August 2024.
