City Desk :

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has issued letters to several government offices regarding capital’s bio-diversity protection and keeping the nature revived.

The letter, signed by DNCC administrator yesterday, was forwarded to the Ministry of Land, Ministry of Housing and Public Works, National Housing Authority, Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK), Deputy Commissioners, Additional Commissioners (land), registrar and sub-registrar offices, reports BSS.

It is crucial to reserve fields, parks, and waterbodies for maintaining the city’s habitability and sustainable development. Trading, changing and using of fields, parks, and waterbodies proposed in the Detailed Area Plan (DAP 2022-2035) by RAJUK must be stopped immediately, the letter reads.

It also urges the respective bodies to implement land-tax related polices for the above-mentioned lands.
