Chitralekha Guha is a popular actress in TV dramas and movies of Bangladesh. During this time, she is seen playing the role of mother in most of her dramas. At present, she is acting in one drama after another.
In the meantime, this noted actress has worked under the direction of several drama directors including Mitul Khan, Rubel Hasan, Mohin Khan, Julfikar Shishir, S R Nahdi, and Topu Khan.
Last Thursday, Chitralekha Guha acted in an untitled drama with Niloy Alamgir and Jannatul Sumaiya Heme under the direction of Mitul Khan.
The actress informed that two drama serials starring her are being aired on two TV channels. One is Sajjad Sumon’s ‘Mashrafe Junior’, and another is Imraul Rafat directed drama serial ‘Adbhoot Poribar’, which started to air on ATN Bangla last month.
While talking about acting, Chitralekha Guha told this correspondent, “What I love to do is my profession. That is, I love to act, I like to act. And this is my profession. If the subject of people’s liking and love is profession, then absolute peace always exists within herself in that work. Because I love to act, I always have this kind of calmness. Even at this time, I am acting in good story plays one after another; it is also a big thing. My infinite gratitude to the God. Of course, my sincere love and prayers for those who always work with me. I will continue to act as long as I live. Not to mention, my family supports me hundred percent. That’s why I can act with absolute comfort.”
Notable movies starring Chitralekha Guha are – ‘Swapner Nayok’, ‘Lal Shalu’, ‘Nayok’, ‘Molla Barir Bou’, ‘Common Gender’, ‘Ekattorer Maa Jononi’, ‘Rupsha Nodir Bankey’, etc.
In 2014, this noted actress was awarded the National Film Award for the movie ’71 er Maa Jononi’. Her first acting movie was Sheikh Niamat Ali’s ‘Annyo Jibon’.
Her first performance in a drama titled ‘Obbhyontorin Kheladhula’ written and directed by Milon Chowdhury of Chattogram’s Angan Theatre.
