Chinese firm Anthente Bulk to produce container bag in BEPZA EZ

Anthente Bulk Bag Ltd., a Chinese company, is set to invest US$ 10 million in BEPZA Economic Zone (BEPZA EZ) to establish a container bag manufacturing industry. The Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) signed an agreement with the company recently at the BEPZA Complex in the city, says a press release.
BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, attended the signing ceremony, alongside senior officials from BEPZA and representatives from Anthente Bulk Bag Ltd., where Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA Md Ashraful Kabir and Managing Director of Anthente Bulk Bag Ltd. Ma Xiaoming signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
The Chinese company plans to produce 2.8 million pcs of Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers (FIBC) bag, bulk bag, woven and non-woven bag annually, creating employment opportunities for 1150 Bangladeshi nationals. BEPZA Executive Chairman thanked Anthente Bulk Bag Ltd. for choosing BEPZA EZ as their investment destination, highlighting BEPZA’s commitment to providing a secure and supportive environment for investors.
The manufacturing plant will produce medium and high-grade container bags and export to international markets, including the United States, Japan, Australia, and South America.
