Dhaka woke up to intensifying winter chills on Wednesday with the minimum temperature plunging to around 15°C amid light to moderate fog across the city.
The fog lifted by morning, but the Met Office warned that daytime temperatures could dip further compared to Tuesday, amplifying the cold sensation throughout the day. From 7:00am, Dhaka’s skies are likely to remain partly cloudy for the next six hours, with mainly dry weather prevailing.
North or northwesterly winds at 5-10 km/h may contribute to the slight drop. At 6:00am, the temperature was recorded at 15.8°C with 93per cent humidity.
Tuesday’s maximum was 26.5°C, while Wednesday’s minimum hit 15.6°C-no rain fell in the past 24 hours.
