A one and a half year old girl named Samia tragically died after drowning in a bucket of water in Kahalu, Bogra.
The tragic incident took place at around 10:30 am yesterday, Sunday in Arola Sakidar Para village of Paikar Union of the upazila. That day, Samia’s mother left child Samia in the bathroom to wash clothes. At one stage, child Samia was playing with toys when she suddenly fell face down and drowned in the bucket while trying to pick up a toy from a bucket filled with colored water. Later, her mother rescued Samia dead from the bucket filled with water. Samia is the daughter of Saidul Islam of Arola Sakidar Para village. Kahalu Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Abdul Hannan confirmed the matter.
