Child abducted from Bogra rescued in Barisal , handed over to family

A child who was abducted from Bogra more than six-month ago recovered in Barisal and handed over to family by Barisal police on Tuesday noon.
The victim was identified as Talha, 04, son of Sajedur Rahman Saju, a part-time worker of Bogra municipality and Sheuli Begum, housewife, of Chalk Agaster in Ward No 20 of Bogra town.
Shakhawat Hossain, Kotwali police station officer in charge, said Talha has been missing from his home on February 10, 2015 and a general diary was lodged with Bogra police station in this connection.
However, later Talha was left in Café Ammajan at Hospital Road area of Barisal city by the unknown abductor and recovered by Farid Hossain , owner of the café .
After reporting the incident to Barisal Kotwali police station, Mahmuda Begum, wife of Farid Hossain, was given responsibility to nourish the child after registering a general diary as he was a minor aged child. The child was renamed as Shahin by the couple.
On other hand after investigation of the general diary, Bogura police recently arrested Helal alias Lachan, son of Nurul Islam of Banaripara Barisal, from Bogura town as suspected abductor and interrogated him under 10-day remand.
In interrogation Lalchan acknowledged that he abducting the child brought to Barisal and later left at Café Ammajan of Barisal city.
Then the parents of Talha rushed to Barisal on Monday contacted with police.
The child was handed over to them observing legal formalities on Tuesday noon through victim support center, the Barisal police sources said.
