Chattagram City BNP is providing relief assistance for Banvasi people. City BNP leaders handed over the first consignment of relief materials to the Mahanagar Krishak Dal team to be sent to the flood-affected areas on Wednesday afternoon. City BNP convenor Ershad Ullah and member secretary Nazimur Rahman and relief committee convener Syed Azam Uddin were present.
BNP leader Ershad Ullah said, “BNP’s politics is for the people. On the instructions of our leader Tariq Rahman, BNP leaders and workers are working relentlessly in the flood affected areas. This activity should be continued after the flood water recedes till the rehabilitation of the flood victims. Everyone has to work for the happiness and sorrow of the people.” Ershad Ullah requested the people of Chattagram to give the relief materials to the BNP office at Nasimon Bhavan as per their capacity for the flood victims.
He said that in the next couple of days, leaders of Chattagram BNP will go to the flood-affected areas with relief materials on a larger scale. Chattagram City BNP has already formed a relief committee of nine members. On behalf of the committee, the work of collecting relief and packing them is going on at the party office of Nasiman Bhavan in Kazi Dewri of the city.
The relief items sent to the people in the flood-affected areas include rice, pulses, oil, dry food, candles, dishwash, clean water and essential medicines. Relief committee members Harun Zaman, Niaz Mohammad Khan, Iqbal Chowdhury, Kazi Belal Uddin, RU Chowdhury Shaheen, Ahmedul Alam Chowdhury Russell, Khorshed Alam, Sihab Uddin Mobin, Member Secretary of Mahanagar Krishak Dal Kamal Pasha Nizami, convener Nazmul Haque Naju, were present during the relief handing over on Wednesday.
