Chattogram Division kept its winning spree, having sealed its second straight victory in the NCL T20 as they outclassed Rajshahi Division by 30 runs at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Monday.
Asked to bat first, Chattogram put up a moderate 155-6 but defended the total by restricting Rajshahi to 125-8.Veteran Mominul Haque showed his T20 skill once again to give the side a solid start by hitting 37 ball-45 with six fours for Chattogram.
Shahadat Hossain Dipu also made 45, an innings featuring four fours and two sixes to continue his rich vein of form.
The duo’s contribution propelled the port city past 150 despite the later order’s shoddy batting show.
Rajshahi, however, were no match for Chattogram even though the target was manageable.
Pacer Md Rubel scalped 3-24 in four overs to stifle them right from the outset and Rajshahi could never recover from that setback.
Pritom Kumar was the top-scorer for Rajshahi with 22 while skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto and Sabbir Hossain added 21 runs each.
