Myanmar’s deposed leader Aung San Suu Kyi’s trial in military court entered its second day on Tuesday where the state prosecution presented arguments that she was involved in corruption, incited public disorder and flouted coronavirus restrictions.
The ruling junta has prepared a bunch of charges against the controversial Nobel Laureate Burmese politician with a view to blaming the ongoing democratic movement along with intensifying its control on the government.
According to international media, like the previous day no journalist was allowed yesterday at the hearing inside the Naypyidaw council compound, which was heavily guarded by armed police personnel.
Framing charges are not at all difficult under gun power politics. Trial at gun point is necessary if gun power politics is to be ended for the people’s rule. Gun power politics is to keep the people silent in fear and make corruption free for all. But the trial of Suu Kyi is neither open nor for establishing democracy.
Military intervention has already killed hundreds of people who protested. The people are protesting bravely for denying military rule under the new army chief.
The change is forced upon the people for political ambition unless contrary is proved. But the people have no faith in the army of Myanmar. The Generals have been using the people’s army for own luxury and accumulating wealth.
Gun politics is destroying the government’s accountability to the people thorough corruption and fear of army in many parts of the world. The army discipline is broken to make them anti-people political masters.
The US must stand up against the gun power dictators. The army must remain the people’s army and not be used as protectors anti-people thieves.
