Popular actor Chanchal Chowdhury has been very quiet recently. Once he was vocal on socio-political issues. But now he seems to be speaking calculatedly. Why? He himself gave the answer.
He said, “Given the situation in the country, if you say something, you will get into trouble. So, I don’t say it.”
Chanchal made this comment while attending the screening of the movie ‘Doom’ on October 29. The incident took place at an event organised at a club in the capital. Although it was meant as a joke, the actor’s words had a hint of reality.
On the day of the mahurat, the film’s heroine Puja Cherry made a dramatic appearance. She was brought in a palanquin.
After getting down from the palanquin, Puja said with a laugh, “When I was inside, everyone was very confused about letting me down. It seems no one loves me.”
At that time, in response to Puja’s words, Chanchal smiled and said, “Given the situation in the country, if you say anything too much, you will get into trouble. That’s why I am keeping quiet.”
