Celebs mourn death of Khaleda Zia

BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia died at 6:00am yesterday, while undergoing treatment at a hospital. The death of Khaleda Zia has cast a shadow of mourning across the country. Celebrities of showbiz are also expressing their condolences.
Actress Jaya Ahsan wrote, “Begum Khaleda Zia passed away at a very difficult time. People are waiting for elections and democracy ahead. The value of her presence was immense. There will be differences of opinion and path in politics. But Khaleda Zia was a leading character in the movement against military rule and for the establishment of democracy, brilliant in courage and leadership. A chapter of the country’s long political movement ended with her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.”
Superstar Shakib Khan wrote, “I express my deep sorrow at the passing of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. I pray for the eternal peace of her soul and extend my condolences to the bereaved family.”
Popular band star Nagarbaul James wrote on Facebook, “Condolences and humble tributes. It is noted that Khaleda Zia had been ill for a long time. She was suffering from various physical complications.
She had been undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital since November 23. She died there.
