CCC to feed 5 lakh doses of anti-worm vaccine in Ctg

Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Health Department will feed anti-worm tablet to five lakh children in the Port City from June 1 to June 5. The information
was conveyed at an advocacy meeting on Wednesday at the CCC General Hospital.
The CCC Chief Health Officer Dr Selim Aktar Chowdhury said at the meeting that 5 lakh students and non -school children will be fed in 5 wards.
Children aged 3 to 5 years suffer from malnutrition and physical and mental illness if they do not eat worm tablets.
Councilor Abdus Salam Masum, a member of the Health Standing Committee of CCC, said that the CCC is making significant contribution to Chattogram’s health care sector. This programme should be successful in protecting the health of children. Especially this time, in the heat, a parent should do counseling in order to prevent the child from feeding worms. The CCC health officer was present at the meeting. Mohammad Imam Hossain Rana, Zonal Medical Officer Dr Md Rafiqul Islam, Dr Sumon Talukder, Dr Akil Mahmud Naf, Dr Jewel Mahajan, in -charge Dr Md Rashedul Islam, Dr Riaz Ahmed, Dr Deepa Tripura, Dr Iffat Jahan presented the information of the main programme.
