Mayor of Chattogram Dr. Shahadat Hossain has received a crest and certificate in recognition of Chattogram City Corporation being ranked first among the 12 city corporations in the country in the annual evaluation of the Ministry of Local Government on the management system (city governance) of the country in 15 categories including organizational efficiency, financial management and citizen involvement.
The 6th meeting of the “Strategy Steering Committee” formed at the government level to monitor the implementation progress of the “City Corporation Management System (Governance) Development Strategy Paper 2020-2030” and the 2nd meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) of the City Corporation Capacity Building (C4C-2) project were held at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Thursday. Local Government Division Secretary Md. Rezaul Maksud Zahedi handed over the crest and certificate to the mayor at a ceremony organized. According to sources from the Ministry of Local Government, there were 15 indicators set for the evaluation of the 2024-2025 fiscal year. The city governance was evaluated based on the indicators on February 26 and 27.
