Cattle lifting in Bhangura People suffer

People of the village keep vigil at night to prevent cattle lifting theft in Bhanguraupazila of Pabna. Local residents said that when everyone is asleep in the dark, miscreants are stealing cows and smuggling them in trucks and river boats. For this reason, the people of each village are divided into different groups and take turns keeping watch at night. So, they suffered a lot.
Abdul Jalil, son of late Fazal Ali of Khanmorich village of the upazila, said that four cows including two calves were stolen from his cowshed worth three lakh taka. Belal Hossain, a farmer of Ashtomanisha village, said that when three cows were stolen from his barn, when he woke up, the thieves left the cows and ran away. Tofazzal Hossain, a farmer of Kalkoti village of Bhangura union and Sohrab Ali, a farmer of Noubaria village, said that there are multiple cattle in every cowshed and farm in the area. The price of each of which is 1 to 3 lakhs taka. So they are not able to sleep peacefully at night due to the fear of theft. They are suffering indescribably even to keep watch at night.
Manowar Hossain Khan alias Mithu, Chairman Khanmarich Union Parishad admitted the incident of cow theft in Satbaria and Khanmorich villages and said that a night watch has been arranged by village police and villagers. It is reported that similar measures have been taken in Bhangura, Parbhangura, Ashtamanisha, Mondutosh and Dilpasha unions of the upazila.
