A case has been lodged against former Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president and Member of Parliament Nazmul Hasan Papon in Bhairab, Kishoreganj.
The case was filed on Tuesday night (August 27) by Alam Sarkar of Kamalpur village at Bhairab Police Station.
The complaint names Papon along with 140 other individuals, including Upazila Awami League General Secretary Jahangir Alam Sentu, Municipal Awami League President SM Baki Billah, General Secretary Atiq Ahmed Sourav, and the former President’s Private Secretary Sakhawat Ullah.
According to the case details, the accused are charged with cocktail explosions, vandalism, and theft of valuables. These alleged incidents occurred during the anti-discrimination student movement on July 19, when the accused reportedly entered a temporary BNP party office in Bhairab.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhairab Police Station, Safiqul Islam, confirmed the registration of the case and stated that further legal actions will be pursued against those involved.
