Camila Cabello is returning to the big screen as Warner Bros announced that the ‘I Luv It’ singer and ‘Cinderella’ actress will join the cast of ‘Cut Off’, a new comedy directed by Jonah Hill, who will also star alongside Kristen Wiig.
Langston Kerman, known for his role in ‘Abbott Elementary’, has also joined the ensemble.
Written by Hill and Ezra Woods, ‘Cut Off’ follows two wealthy siblings, portrayed by Hill and Wiig, who are suddenly deprived of their parents’ fortune.
Veteran actors Nathan Lane and Bette Midler will play the parents. While the roles of Cabello and Kerman remain undisclosed, the film is scheduled to premiere in theatres on July 17, 2026.
According to Deadline, filming is currently underway in California, with Hill co-producing alongside Matt Dines and Ali Goodwin for Strong Bay.
Cabello previously starred as the titular character in ‘Cinderella’, appeared in Chiwetel Ejiofor’s ‘Rob Peace’, and lent her voice to ‘Trolls Band Together’.
The multi-talented artiste has also spoken about her love for performing,
saying that she enjoys “almost acting when I’m singing.”
