Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) has given a memorandum to the Chief Advisor (CA) of the Interim Government Professor Muhammad Yunus on a 21-point demand, including the implementation of the proposed Bangladesh energy sector reforms and prosecution of energy criminals in the light of this policy .
This memorandum was given to the Chief Advisor through ADC(General) Rubel Mahmud on Sunday.
Kishoreganj’s CAB organized a mass signature collection campaign demanding the implementation of Bangladesh Energy Transformation Policy-2024 and in the light of this policy, energy sector reforms and prosecution of energy criminals.
CAB, president in Kishoreganj, Alam Sarowar Tito said,’ CAB continues struggle to ensure the rights of consumers. The 21-point demand has been made by CAB to ensure transparency, justice and accountability at all stages of electricity supply.
During handing over of the memorandum, Alam Sarowar Tito, General Secretary Monowar Hossein Rony, acting president advocate Maya Bhowmick, Shafiq Kabir, Mamun Miah and Veteran Freedom Fighter, Company Commander Mahbubul Alam were also present.
