CA Prof Yunus visits Evercare Hospital to see Khaleda Zia

Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus visited the Evercare Hospital Wednesday evening to see former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. He spent around 30 minutes at the hospital and enquired about her health condition, a senior official told UNB.

Around 7pm, the Chief Adviser’s motorcade entered the hospital premises. Although several advisers of the interim government had earlier visited Khaleda Zia, this was the first time Prof Yunus went to see her. On Tuesday night, Chief of Army Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hassan and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan also visited the BNP chief at Evercare Hospital.

Earlier, the same day, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman went to the hospital to  see her. Khaleda Zia has been receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital since November 23 due to multiple health complications. Her condition deteriorated on November 27 after which she was shifted to the CCU, where she is currently undergoing treatment.
