Businessman killed road accident in Kulaura

A businessman named Ashiqur Rahman Ashiq (38) was killed in a road accident in Kulaura, Moulvibazar. The accident occurred in front of a mosque adjacent to the Langla signboard in the South Hingaziya area of Brahmanbazar Union of the upazila around 8:30 am on Sunday, July 20. The deceased was Ashiq Kamalganj.
It is known that he is the owner of Eagle Nursery in Shamshernagar of the upazila.
According to police, fire service and eyewitness sources, businessman Ashiq was coming towards Kulaura with fish in a mini truck from the Shamshernagar air base area. He
Ashiq was sitting next to the driver of the truck. On the way, when he reached the mosque adjacent to the Langla signboard, the truck lost control and hit a tree on the side of the road. Ashiq was trapped and seriously injured.
Upon receiving the news, a team led by Kulaura Fire Service leader Ferdous Mia quickly reached the spot, rescued Ashiq and took him to the Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Kulaura Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Omar Faruk confirmed the accident and said that the process of recovering the body and sending it to the morgue for autopsy is underway.
