Business friendly tax policies imperative to expand commercial activities, said Md. Shahidul Haque Mollah, the Chairman of Mollah Group, Mollah Agro, and Hotel Royal Blue.
Admiring the reform agendas of the interim government, Shahidul Haque Mollah said, businesses are eagerly waiting for the next budget hopping it will reflect the desires and demands of the business people.
The business icon expressed these in an interview with The New Nation recently.
Shahidul Haque Mollah is also Managing Director of Mollah Import-Export Company (Pvt) Ltd, and Director of Mercantile Islami Life Insurance Company.
He is also former Director of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), a dynamic business leader. He is
Shahidul Haque Mollah also is the Proprietor of Mollah Machineries and Motors. He is the entrepreneur of proposed Alamdanga General Hospital.
The social welfare personality Mollah also Director of Madinatul Ulum Yatimkhana (Orphanage) and Hafizia Madrasah and Baitul Mamur Jame Masjid. He is lifetime Member of Bangladesh Red crescent Society and Diabetic Hospital.
The humanitarian personality also involved closely with various activities with Masjids, Madrasahs, Eidgah, Schools, orphanages and such other social welfares in Chuadanga district.
Shahidul Haque Mollah praised almighty Allah for being elected Director of the FBCCI. He also thanked members of the core business body for electing him.
The entrepreneur said he had worked hard to make business friendly environment in the country for all entrepreneurs while served as FBCCI Director.
“We had worked earnestly for all of our general members who elected us leader of the FBCCI. Overcoming all obstacles the FBCCI is determined to gift a business friendly environment for all general body (GB) members in future,” Shahidul Haque Mollah said.
In the current situation, he said, the interim government has the priorities to identify all barriers of doing business in the country and remove those.
“As the most important priorities of this government it will identify all problems of the business people. Then will find out the ways of eliminating those problems.
Finally, will remove all those problems, barriers strictly so that the businesses could get sustainable environment for doing business,” Shahidul Haque Mollah said.
Replying to a question, Shahidul Haque Mollah said this government is able to create a business friendly atmosphere.
“We also hopeful that the Commerce Adviser will be able to remove all barriers from the businesses so that doing business will be easy in the country now under his leadership,” Mollah said.
“Country’s economic zones across the country is a gorgeous initiative. Besides, Rooppur Atomic power plant also will be helpful for fast developing the country’s energy sector,” he said.
Meanwhile, fourth industrial revolution also help the youth generation of building a developed country with their own vision, he mentioned.
Shahidul Haque Mollah suggested the youth to get ready for getting challenges of the fourth industrial revolutions and Artificial Intelligence (AI) with their own merit and creativities and courage to make a bright and gorgeous Bangladesh before the world.
Replying to another question Mollah said that the youths will be the next enterpreneurs of the country who will create new ways for sustainable economy and to ensure the development of our country.
