At least four people were killed and 10 others injured when a passenger bus collided head on with a truck at Kalihati link road on Dhaka-Tangail highway on Friday.
The accident occurred at around 1am, but the identity of the victims was not confirmed immediately, police sources said. The injured were admitted to Tangail General Hospital for treatment, reports BSS.
A Mymensingh bound bus left from the capital reached at Mymensingh link road on Dhaka-Tangail highway collided with a truck left from Kalihati leaving four people dead on the spot, said Mohammad Nannu Khan, in-charge of Alenga highway police outpost.
The incident along with incessant rain caused a gridlock within 10 kilometres on Dhaka-Tangail highway.
